Best of Show at the Outdoor Advertising Awards
This IKEA outdoor ad campaign won Best of Show at the Outdoor Advertising Association of America’s 62nd annual Obie Awards. The Crispin Porter + Bogusky campaign featured large-scale furniture props made by ImpaQt FX. The props including cabinets and chairs, hanging from billboards that were designed to resemble huge price tags.
1st Place – Star Wars Costume Contest
Our Boba Fett costume tied for 1st place in the Seattle Mariner’s Star Wars costume contest held at the Kingdome in Seattle. The Fett costume is part of Tim Vittetoe’s personal collection. An animated chest display was recently added to the costume.
1st Place – International Plastic Modelers’ Society Contest
This Tyrannosaurus Rex model won First Place at a IPMS contest held in Seattle. The International Plastic Modelers’ Society (IPMS) is a group of independent, non-profit international organizations that promote the hobby of scale modeling.
3rd Place – Model Railroader Photography Contest
This diorama won 3rd prize in the national Model Railroader Magazine photography contest. The scene was constructed just for the contest. Professional photographer George Hall, did a 1 minute exposure using a large format camera (4″ x 5″ plate) using available light. Grain-of-wheat size bulbs provided natural light to illuminate the image.
